What to expect
Balloons fly at daybreak and near sunset to avoid heat thermals that occur during the middle of the day. We employ two crew members per flight.
We meet our passengers at the Collierville library, and based on wind speed and direction, we determine the location of the launch site at that time. Once we have arrived on site, the crew will assist in assembling the balloon system. Following the launch, the crew "chases" the balloon to its landing spot. Crew members then disassemble the balloon system, and pack it into the van. We return to the library where the passengers, pilot and crew enjoy a post-flight celebration, which includes a champagne toast and food.
Plan on spending approximately 3 1/2 hours per flight.
Compensation
We pay our crew at the end of every flight $50 per flight.
Crew are often tipped each flight. We provide seasonal appreal free of charge. There are also times where we need to fill the basket and will take a crew member up. There is a text sent out each Monday showing that weeks scheduled flights. You reply indicating which flights you are available for.
I then split the flights up and text back the flights you have for that week.
